An unexpected encounter

Sunit and I were visiting San Francisco and were we surprised to come across someone familiar - Mahatma Gandhi. I believe it was in the backyard of the Ferry building but i am not sure since this was a while ago. We were filled with pride for those brief few moments. Took a number of pictures but this one with the bay bridge in the background was my favorite.

Welcome after a hiatus.

Yes, some things fills us with pride. I remember I had the same feeling when I spotted the sole Indian shop in Geneva. :-)

Oh yes...this one caught us by surprise on one our jaunts to the city.
That is a great shot. I also love the patch of blue sky peeking out in the middle.
I hope you are returning to the blog world. I enjoyed reading about your Europe and Alaska trips.
